The QImaging Rolera-MGi Plus is a 14 bit Monochrome EMCCD camera with back-illumination and >90% QE. The Rolera-MGi Plus features the 512 x 512 L3Vision frame-transfer EMCCD from e2v Technologies, enabling charge to be multiplied before readout in order to provide fast detection for low-light-level applications. It is capable of speeds of 30 frames per second at full resolution and 300+ fps with Binning or Region Of Interest (ROI).

The IEEE 1394 FireWire digital interface allows ease of use and installation. No Frame-Grabber is required. The Rolera-MGI Plus includes QCapture software (Windows) for real-time image preview and capture. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is available upon request for interfacing with custom software.

The Rolera-MGI Plus digital camera is suited for applications such as High-speed low-light imaging, Spinning-Disk Confocal Microscopy, Dynamic Ratio Imaging (e.g., pH, Low-Concentration Flux), FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching), and Live-Cell Fluorescent Protein Imaging.
