UV Camera Technology
Explore the power of a UV camera to see the invisible
UV cameras are specialised imaging devices designed to detect ultraviolet light, wavelengths beyond the visible spectrum and invisible to the human eye. Unlike conventional cameras, UV cameras capture UV radiation, typically between 200 and 400 nanometres, revealing surface details, materials and features that standard imaging cannot.
Engineers, scientists and researchers rely on UV cameras to detect features that are otherwise invisible, including transparent materials such as glass, clear oil and glue, as well as electrical or gas arcing, surface artefacts and microscopic features. From combustion analysis and spectroscopy to forensics, biomedical research and solar cell inspection, UV cameras unlock insights where visible light falls short.
