About the opportunity

Here’s why this opportunity is unique. You will:

develop into one of Australia's leading specialists in machine vision and scientific imaging.
You'll work with and develop expertise in optics, camera sensors, lighting, AI imaging, embedded computing, high-speed cameras, hyperspectral imaging
work directly with customers to engineer high-performance vision systems
contribute to product evaluation, selection, and development of our own IP
work with customers in a number of regions in ANZ
build and nurture positive, trusted relationships internally and with our customers and clients

Here's what we're looking for in our next Technical Engineer:

Essential for this role:

  • You will need an Engineering degree, preferably in electronics, mechatronics or software.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience programming in C++, C#, Python or similar, on Windows and/or Linux.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers.

While not mandatory the following experience will be highly regarded:

  • working with SDKs and building lightweight GUI or console-based tools for configuration, acquisition, or diagnostics of hardware
  • working and programming with interfaces like GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, CoaXpress or camera link.
  • multithreading, synchronisation, and real-time or near real-time data processing
  • some capability with CAD and simple mechanical design
