IR LED light range for machine vision applications

Infrared lighting provides invisible illumination that is ideal for applications where visible light may interfere with image capture or inspection accuracy. Commonly used in machine vision, surveillance, and scientific imaging, infrared lights operate in the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum - typically 850nm or 940nm, offering high clarity and contrast even in total darkness. By revealing features not apparent under visible light, such as subsurface bruising in fruit or defects in materials, IR illumination enhances detection and inspection capabilities across a wide range of industrial and research environments.
