The QImaging Retiga - EXL is a 14 bit Monochrome CCD Cooled camera with the remarkable speed of Lightwire™ 800 (an optimized version of the IEEE-1394b protocol). The 1392 x 1040 pixel sensor is capable of speeds of 15 frames per second at full resolution and higher frame rates with Binning or Region Of Interest (ROI). The Retiga-EXL provides QImaging’s hallmark combination of high performance and ease of use, enabling researchers to acquire quantitative results from their samples in a matter of seconds.
The IEEE 1394 FireWire digital interface allows ease of use and installation. No Frame-Grabber is required. The Retiga-EXL includes QCapture software (Windows and Mac OS) for real-time image preview and capture. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is available upon request for interfacing with custom software.
The Retiga-EXL digital camera is suited for applications such as High-resolution high-speed imaging, Live-cell fluorescence imaging, Cell-trafficking studies, Real-time spinning-disk confocal microscopy,Cell-motility studies, Real-time DIC, Particle tracking, Biofilm imaging, Semiconductor inspection, and Solar panel inspection.
