The Guppy F-503 B/C is a compact 1394a camera that uses a highly
sensitive 2592 x 1944 (5 Megapixel) rolling shutter CMOS sensor
and is available in colour and monochrome versions. Please
note that rolling shutter CMOS sensors require a static scene where there
is little or no movement.
The camera offers an external asynchronous trigger shutter and
outputs 8 bits but uses a 12-bit ADC. At full image resolution, the AVT
GUPPY F-503B/C offers up to 6.5 fps and is suited for use in industrial
image processing and product automation. The extensive built-in image
processing possibilities (image pre-processing) result in outstanding
image quality, reduced retouching, less load on the system and higher
performance overall.
Available, optionally, is a casing or board version. The cased version
is very small and compact and the board version enables the camera to
be fitted into even tighter spaces and so is suitable
for use in robotics, hand-held instruments, UAV's and any applications
where size and weight are critical.
Thanks to the AVT Guppy F-503's powerful and flexible API, the camera
can be easily integrated into new and existing applications.
