The PP82x series LED lighting controllers provide very fast, accurate,
large current pulses for high-end applications.
With new generation LEDs, the PP82x series can provide high-intensity
pulses which exceed the brightness of xenon strobes and there is also
a high-precision version of the standard series which offers significantly
higher control of the output current.
Three modes of operation are provided independently for each channel:
continuous, pulsed or switched. The standard versions offer a maximum
pulse current of 20A. There are other options which reduce the maximum
pulse current to either 2A or 5A. The lower maximum pulse current gives
a much finer resolution control over the output current. There are also
other optional controllers within the range (suffixed with a C) that give
even greater control resolution on the output.
The PP82x series is configured using Ethernet connection, the configuration
being saved in non-volatile memory so that the PP820 series will resume
operation after a power cycle. Acting as a miniature web server, the PP820
can be controlled by image processing software on a remote PC.
