The Phantom Miro C321J and C321 are a part of Vision Research's extensive range of on-board and off-board high impact high speed camera solutions. With frame rates of 1,480 fps at 1920 x 1080 and over 90,000 fps at the lowest resolution, the Miro C321 cameras provide ample frame rates for a broad range of crash testing and other applications that require a highly rugged camera. The Miro C321 series are a rugged and small design, and have been tested (by a third-party) and proven to withstand shocks of up to 170G and vibrations of 24 Grms. The cameras come with an internal back-up battery and flash memory, to ensure critical test images are captured and saved in case cables are damaged. An additional feature of these cameras that makes them suitable for high-impact testing is their 10-µm pixel which ensures visibility in light starved conditions. The Miro C321J and C321 focus on image protection, which is especially important in harsh environments. They use the same reliable battery as the C210 series and include 240GB of internal CineFlash. CineFlash is a removable, non-volatile storage device that slides into the camera body and provides a way to quickly save shots from the camera's memory without the need for time-consuming and costly downloads. The CineFlash module is later removed from the camera and inserted into the docking station which is connected to a computer making the stored cines immediately available on the computer. The cines can also be transferred from the camera to the computer and the images edited using the bundled Phantom Camera Control software.
