Phantom v1610 left-front side

The Phantom v1611 colour and monochrome camera provides the versatility and flexibility needed in a variety of applications and is an excellent tool for researchers, scientists and engineers who need to capture high-resolution images at ultra-high speeds.

The widescreen CMOS sensor, can acquire and save up to 16 gigapixels-per-second of data which means that at its full megapixel resolution of 1280 x 800, 16,000 frames-per-second can be gained. At reduced resolution, the v1611 offers frame rates of 646,000 fps. The camera can also be ordered with a FAST option (export controlled), enabling frame rates up to 1,000,000 fps and so extending its versatility.

The custom-designed sensor has 28 micron pixels and an innovative design to ensure excellent light-sensitivity -- essential in ultra-high-speed imaging. Standard 12-bit depth per pixel yields high dynamic range and provides excellent image quality.

Ease-of-Use features include Common signal connections which are conveniently located on its back panel, and include connections for timecode, dual power inputs, HD-SDI, a GPS input, frame synchronization, and trigger. The two HD-SDI ports can be configured in several ways and can act as identical 4:2:2 HD-SDI ports where one port can be set up to provide an (optional) on-screen display for monitoring the on-camera controls and camera operation. They can also be configured as a single 4:4:4 Dual-Link HD-SDI port.

An internal mechanical shutter allows for automatic and remote black references, ensuring high image-quality even when the lens can't be manually adjusted prior to a shot.

Image storage

At ultra-high speeds, memory can become a limitation to recording duration. The v2011 can be equipped with 24GB, 48GB or 96GB of high-speed memory. Cine save times can also be minimised by using a CineMag non-volatile feature that comes standard on the v2011 and enables the saving of any shot from high-speed RAM to a CineMag in seconds.

Advanced Features
Image-Based Auto-Trigger
Trigger the camera (or a number of connected cameras) from motion detected within the live image making it easier to catch events that are not predictable or that occur infrequently
Internal Mechanical Shutter
With an internal mechanical shutter, the black frame can be obtained by simply closing the shutter. No physical access to the camera is needed.
Partition internal memory into segments and make shorter recordings back-to-back without missing any action
Continuous Recording
Continuous recording is a mode that automatically saves a recorded cine to a disk drive on a connected PC immediately after it is recorded then re-arms the camera and waits for the next cine to be recorded
Burst Mode
Burst mode allows you to trigger the camera at 0° and then take a burst of images at precise time delays
Quiet Fans
During recording, turns the fans off to eliminate vibration which might interfere with some applications, especially when image magnification is required.
