EXPANDING YOUR SCOPE WITH
PHANTOM v12.1's SUPERIOR CMOS SENSITIVITY,
SUB-MICROSECOND SHUTTERING AND SUPERB HD
IMAGE QUALITY
Capable of taking 1 000 000 pictures-per-second at reduced resolution,
the Phantom v12.1 provides the ideal solution for high-speed imaging
needs. At full resolution the camera is able to deliver 6 242
frames-per-second.
What other
features make the Phantom v12.1 a remarkably useful camera? |
Wide-view recording |
|
Phantom v12.1's custom-designed 1280
x 1800 CMOS sensor allows a wider aspect ratio
than possible with other cameras. This means that the user
can see more of the event than is currently being recorded |
|
|
Sub-micro-second
shuttering |
|
With the ability to program down to 300 nanoseconds,
in 18ns increments, blur can be eliminated allowing
the possibility of seeing the most minute detail.
(Optional feature) |
|
|
Superior sensitivity |
|
The Phantom v12.1's active pixel size
of 20 microns and its improved quantum efficiency gives the camera
superior sensitivity. Even using the optional sub-microsecond
shuttering, the user can obtain the highest sensitivity
with the lowest noise possible. |
|
|
Pixel depth |
|
The camera supports 8- and 12-bit pixel depth - the
smaller bit-depth giving longer recording time and smaller files.
Greater bit-depth provides more gray levels and finer detail. A 12-bit
pixel depth provides more latitude which means that
more detail can be seen. |
|
|
High-resolution
timing |
|
The camera yields a timing resolution of better
than 20ns and a frame synchronisation signal is now available
via a dedicated BNC for easier cabling and increased signal
integrity - perfect for PIV applications with a 500 nanosecond
straddle time and no image lag |
|
|
EDR |
|
The unique Extreme Dynamic Range feature permits
two different exposures within a single frame. By using the
auto exposure feature, the camera automatically adjusts
to changing lighting conditions. |
|
|
Shading
the sensor |
|
The Phantom Software automatically closes the
shutter when the user requires a session-specific black reference
so there is no longer a need to shade the sensor manually
with a lens cap . |
