The CR1000x2 is a high speed camera for capturing images of high-speed events in order to slow down playback and for image and motion analysis. It is a standalone compact camera with internal memory used to store high speed image sequences at very high frame rates. It features a fast Gigabit ethernet connection to transfer the already captured high-speed image sequence to computer. The gigabit ethernet connection also provides the means to control the camera when setting up and to view a live image on a laptop or computer screen for image composition prior to recording.

The construction and materials used in the manufacture of the Optronis CR1000x2 high-speed, light sensitive camera, make it suitable for deployment in rough/rugged environments with typical applications including combustion analysis, explosions and materials testing. This camera is useful for both applications in industry as well as in research and development where very fast capture is required.   It operates at up to 1000fps with full resolution and with Area of Interest mode at up to 8000 fps.

The Optronis CR1000x2’s compact size and 1.05 Kg weight combined with the supplied easy-to-use CamControl software (for Windows), ensure both portability and ease of use. Optronis also provide a driver for Labview.

A standard recommended F-mount is shipped with the CR1000x2 but is also available with an optional C-mount. Video output is via Gigabit Ethernet ensuring high bandwidth (1000 Mbps); uncompromised data transfer up to 100 meter cable lengths; easy connectivity to a notebook or desktop PC without any additional hardware.
