Supplying high speed, the precision of colour together with the sensitivity of monochrome
Based on Teledyne DALSA's unique line scan CMOS sensor architecture, the new Piranha4 2K 70 kHz line scan camera offers high line rates with outstanding signal-to-noise performance.

Delivering excellent colour fidelity, responsive pixels, a compact footprint and with an easy-to-use interface, new features include multiple regions of interest for data reduction and regional calibration; sub-pixel line spatial correction; factory calibration to white LED; white balance and colour-calibration tools. Three native colours (Red, Green, and Blue) are provided as well as a separate monochrome channel with minimum spatial separation for the maximum in colour accuracy and performance at 70 kHz.

In addition to its speed, the Piranha4 also offers independent gain and exposure control for each colour allowing the user to tune spectral responsivity. Sub-pixel spatial correction providing precise colour registration in any sampling scenario. The camera even allows up to four simultaneous areas of interest, which can be used to focus on specific areas of an image and ignore the rest and so reducing processing bandwidth as well as simplifying cabling.

The camera delivers a throughput of 573 MPix/s using Camera Link and advanced chip sets allow cable lengths of 15 meters and beyond. The GenICam compliant interface makes the camera easier to set up, control and integrate.
