Goldeye SWIR (Short-Wave-Infra-Red) cameras are equipped
with InGaAs sensor technology making them sensitive in the short wave
infrared spectrum ranging from 900 nm to 1,700 nm. All Goldeye cameras
are the perfect choice for industrial and scientific applications beyond
the visible spectrum.
Goldeye SWIR cameras enable users to capture low-noise SWIR images at
high frame rates (up to 344 fps full res) with low noise, high linearity
and high dynamic range. In addition, comprehensive on-board image correction
and optimization features allow vision system integrators to realise the
best possible SWIR imaging outcomes.
An extensive range of Goldeye SWIR cameras (18 models) provides users
with many options with reference to resolution (0.1 MP - 1.3 MP), lens-mount
(C-Mount, F-Mount, M42-Mount), cooling (TEC1, TEC2, TECless) and interface
(GigE, Camera Link).
Goldeye SWIR cameras are also offered in either a ruggedized version or
an advanced scientific version. The ruggedized version is a compact industrial
camera that is offered either with or without single-stage TEC while the
advanced scientific version comes with a fan, a nitrogen filled cooling
chamber and a single or dual-stage TEC.
All Goldeye SWIR cameras are equipped with lockable cable connectors and
a wide operating temperature range (-20 °C to +55 °C) enabling
a secure operation under harsh conditions.
The Goldeye series also includes eight Goldeye
eXtended SWIR (XSWIR) camera models that incorporate one of two SWIR
inGaAs sensors. One that can detect wavelengths up to 1.9 µm and
the other up to 2.2 µm, both with high quantum efficiencies.

Applications
Semi-conductor/Solar Cell inspection
With wavelengths of 1100 nm or more silicon becomes
transparent. As Goldeye SWIR cameras operate in the short wave infrared
spectrum ranging from 900 nm to 1,700 nm they are ideal for analysing
metalisation and detecting imperfections like fine cracks or electrical
contact issues on the backside of wafers.
•
Light emitted by silicon when electrically stimulated
peaks at 1150 nm. Luminescence imaging helps to identify non-uniformities
in solar cells by detecting light from these defects.
Hyperspectral Imaging
•
Each inorganic material has a different chemical
composition and crystalline structure resulting in a unique spectral
reflection corresponding to its specific light absorption characteristics.
Hyperspectral Imaging combines digital imaging with spectroscopy
to obtain detailed information across multiple wavelengths. Typical
applications include recycling and plastic sorting as well as geology
and mineral inspection.
Other Applications
• Agriculture such as airborne remote sensing
•
Print industry, for example banknote inspection
• Food inspection
•
Glass production
• Moisture detection
•
Vision enhancement
• Laser beam profiling
•
Scientific and medical including hyperspectral imaging,
microscopy, and optical coherence tomography
