The Alecs Smart Camera is a fully integrated machine vision camera designed for industrial and embedded vision applications. It combines high-quality imaging sensors with the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB System on Module. The device is built in a robust IP67 housing and is intended for demanding machine vision, machine learning, and deep learning tasks.

Smart Camera from Allied Vision, built for Machine Vision Applications

The Alecs Smart Camera provides high-resolution imaging with 5 MP and 12 MP mono or colour sensors. It delivers frame rates of up to 81 fps at 5 MP and up to 40 fps at 12 MP. The camera includes integrated I/O such as 2x Opto-In, 2x Opto-Out, 1x Strobe-Out, and 1x RS485-Out. Industrial-grade M12 connectors are used for Ethernet, Power, and I/O, with a separate connector for lighting control. Indicator lights on both sides offer clear visual feedback for device status.

This machine vision camera is based on an open platform design. Users can install their own Linux-based software to create custom embedded vision solutions. The included Board Support Package is built on Allied Vision’s Vimba X software and includes an integrated recovery mode. On-board processing features are available for image optimization without the need for external computing resources.

The system includes pre-installed Open eVision libraries from Euresys, allowing users to test machine learning and deep learning workflows for 30 days at no cost. The camera is compatible with a full range of industrial accessories including lenses, interface cables, control cables, and lighting components.
