Available in 800, 720 and 480 GB sizes, the FireNAS 1U also includes a 1.2 GHz CPU, 512MB RAM and 7200 rpm drives, making it the fastest NAS available. It is a dedicated storage computer. Unlike direct attached storage and RAIDs, your host computer doesn't waste any cycles managing the data; the FireNAS 1U does it without slowing down your rendering processing at all.
