The QImaging Retiga-SRV is a 12 Bit CCD monochrome cooled camera for low-light, high-speed, and high-sensitivity in life science applications.. The 1392 x 1040 pixel sensor is capable of speeds of 11 frames per second at full resolution and up to 165 fps with Binning or Region Of Interest (ROI). High-speed, low-noise electronics provide linear digital data for rapid image capture. A three-stage Peltier device and an all-metal, hermetic-vacuum-sealed CCD chamber provide state-of-the-art cooling to -30˚C; the camera’s software-selectable, regulated cooling enables precise control in single-degree increments.
The Retiga-SRV features DarkView Technology to minimise noise during low light experiments thus increasing the dynamic range and picture quality. The High Sensitivity mode also provides an enhanced Quantum Efficiency (QE) of up to 50% at certain spectral wavelengths in the IR, making this camera well suited for NIR work.The camera comes with iGlo™ Technology, which features an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display that provides users with key information about camera settings in a convenient, ergonomic way. The IEEE 1394 FireWire digital interface allows ease of use and installation. No Frame-Grabber is required. The Retiga-SRV includes QCapture software (Windows and Mac OS) for real-time image preview and capture. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is available upon request for interfacing with custom software.
The Retiga-SRV digital camera is suited for applications such as Quantitative Fluorescence Imaging, FRET, Live-Cell Fluorescent Protein Imaging,Ratiometric Analysis (Ca2+, pH, etc.), Whole Animal Fluorescence, FRAP and FISH.
