FX series |

|
The Specim FX series currently consists of three robust hyperspectral
cameras that offer a range of features which allow it to be particularly
functional in the area of industrial imaging applications.
The camera series provides 100% image covering and uses non-destructive
methods by collecting its results from a target's chemical composition.
The Specim FX series is an easily integrated product that can
be installed on new and existing sorting lines. The imaging results
are accessible through commercial analysis software on a standard
interface. Data analysis results are then communicated through
to sorting machines and can be applied to systems such as robot
hands and air jets.
Another impressive characteristic of the FX series is the Multiple
Region Of Interest (MROI) feature which allows users to focus
on specific areas that bear the most significance. The MROI areas
can be adjusted on the go and flexibly selected. Used effectively,
the MROI can reduce data and cut costs by reducing time.

Application Case Study - Specim FX10
In New Zealand, farmers have traditionally needed to send samples
to a lab in order to test its chemical composition. This sampling
process is very expensive (est. $200 per sample) and very slow.
It's often that by the time a farmer receives the required information
the pasture has already been grazed.
Expensive and time consuming, a solution was required.
Precision agriculture is a farming concept based on observing,
measuring and responding precisely to plant requirements.
The practice of being able to respond to a target based on its
chemical composition using non-destructive methods, is appealling
to farmers that aim to ensure environmental sustainability without
compromising profitability.
The Specim FX10 is considered a useful tool in the world of precision
agriculture. In fact, it is often used to effectively improve
farm productivity and profitability all whilst minimising our
environmental footprint.
