With a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, the colour UI-3580ML-C-HQ has one of the most sensitive sensors in the IDS product portfolio and is a real megapixel CCD replacement.

Thanks to the innovative A-Pix pixel technology, the sensor is extremely sensitive to light providing an cost-wise alternative to many CCD sensors currently available on the market.

The camera is also particularly suited for applications that require maximum precision in colour rendering and crystal-clear image quality. The A-Pix pixel technology from Aptina is based on the gathering of light by a lightguide which directs the gathered incident light from the colour filter to the surface of the photo diode. Structure and process improvements in pixel technology have increased the sensitivity of the sensor in the red and green range in particular by up to 30% compared to the previous version of this sensor.

As well as having outstanding sensitivity to light in CCD quality, the camera also has a range of other distinctive features and the various shutter modes provide ideal parameters for every application to produce sharp, low-noise images.

Lightweight but robust, weighing only 41 g and with a size of 47 x 46 x 28 mm, the USB 3 uEye ML is the perfect camera for all space critical applications.

The USB 3 uEye ML is suited for a wide range of applications due to having two GPIOs, opto-decoupled trigger and flash. Its C/CS lens mount allows for a great selection of lenses, wide-angles lenses included.

Camera integration is easy based on Plug&Play and USB's one-cable solution for data transfer and power supply.
