The Dragonfly S USB3 series is designed to address the market-need for modular, compact, and low weight cameras. It is a practical and a lower cost camera solution, best suited to applications that are tight for space, need multiple cameras or require a large number of cameras where cost is critical. These can include handheld devices for applications such ophthalmoscopy, 3D scanning, automated optical inspection; embedded applications like biometrics kiosks; or multiple camera applications as found in Factory Automation.

The Dragonfly S USB3 series will be available with CMOS sensors from Onsemi, Sony and Teledyne e2v.camera. An onboard image buffer guarantees the reliable transfer of every captured image frame to the host CPU. They come in a range of housings, from board-level to fully-enclosed modules housed in ruggedized aluminium cases. End-users can choose between rear or side orientation USB connectors, both equipped with a screw-in locking mechanism. These modular options offer exceptional flexibility and durability, making them perfect for seamless integration into compact spaces. The cased models comply with Class B EMC safety standards, crucial for minimizing electromagnetic interference in healthcare and residential settings.
