Four channel R-G-B CMOS and SWIR InGaAs prism line scan camera
JAI Sweep+ SW-4010Q-MCL aligns four channels to the same optical plane with three silicon CMOS sensors to detect RGB visible light at 400 nm – 700 nm and one InGaAs SWIR sensor to capture 800 nm to 1700 nm light. This camera captures in one single pass with precise pixel level correlation and no parallax issues.
The ability to mount and align three silicon line scan sensors and one InGaAs sensor so that pixels are perfectly spatially correlated is only possible because of JAI's long history in building automated machines to align multiple sensors for prism cameras. Its what makes them unique in the market and allows them to make this remarkably unique camera.
The JAI Sweep+ comes loaded with features including Xscale and ROI functions to allow users to synchronize sensor width and line scan speed of the two different sensor types. Further, built in colour space conversion and binning for RGB channels plus individual gain and shutter time settings for each channel further aids users.

Application Examples |
Inspection of Fruit and Vegetables. |
- When using the Sweep+ Series SW-4010Q-MCL shape, damage, size and colour can be inspected using the visible channel and simultaneously users can detect foreign objects using the SWIR channel.
Pharmaceutical Inspection |
- With the combined RGB and SWIR inspection the SW-4010Q-MCL is ideal for looking through opaque plastic packages while inspecting the completeness and printing of the packaging on the outside
Currency Inspection |
- Colour correctness, watermarks and security features woven into bank notes are made possible thanks to combining SWIR and RGB channels.
Battery Inspection |
- Line Scan Cameras are used to detect energy density and prevent early degradation of batteries.
LCD Inspection |
- Surface inspection of flat panels and displays to optimise colour and detect defective pixels and scratches.
Agriculture and farming |
- Precision farming can be used to automate removal of weeds and wild plants and to optimize harvest yields. RGB-SWIR multi spectral cameras excel with these applications.
