TS2S
2mm - offering the advantages of Direct Drive technology |
Designed with a low-profile
and flat surfaces for easy integration and leveraging the latest technology
developed for the TS series, the TS2S is the second aperture size
available.
Compact and low profile (only 4.8 mm thick) and with a design innovation
that has eliminated the external protruding actuator, the TS2S contains
no other interfering components and the new “direct-drive”
system eliminates all linkages between the actuator and the shutter
blade and the simple blade design means that shutter blade
material can be selected for customer unique applications.
The TS2S can be configured normally open or normally closed and the
reliability of this device has been enhanced by containing only two
moving parts (the rotor and the blade). Featuring ultra-low power
requirements, when paired with the VED24 shutter controller, the TS2S
will provide reliability in a very small package.
The TS2S can also be operated by the VDM1000 shutter driver for applications
that require faster transfer time. |

Key
features of the TS2S |
|
** Single-bladed design |
** Shutter mechanism has a flag
mounted internally and has the aperture on center. |
** Innovative actuator system
radically reduces moving parts to increase reliability. |
** Machined flat surfaces on
both sides of the device for easy system integration since the flag
is mounted internally |
** Small form factor, 2mm aperture,
29.2 mm outer diameter and 4.8 mm thick. |
** Reflective blades available
for high energy light sources. |
** Alternate blade material
may be made available by special order (i.e. x-ray or other unique
applications) |
** Low voltage/current operation |
TS2S
2mm Shutter |
** Fast exposure operation,
opening times shorter than 1ms |
|
** Frequency of operation as
fast as 100Hz |
|
** Terminated to a 2-pin JST
connector (S2B-PH-SM4-TB) via a 4 inch flex interconnect |

NS65B
65mm - bi-stable design |
|
The dependable NS Shutter
Series has been increased with the introduction of the 65 mm aperture
NS65B - the largest aperture in the NS series.
Boasting only a total of seven moving parts, six of which are the
blades themselves, has significantly enhanced the reliability of the
NS6.
Being a bi-stable shutter means that no power is required to hold
the shutter in either the open or closed state and only when a change
of state is required is it necessary to use power. By reducing the
number of components and utilizing the bi-stable operation has allowed
for a more reliable and dependable device.
The NS65B can fit into a 12.7 cm (5") diameter housing and
can be operated by the VDM1000 controller. |

|
Key
features of the NS65B |
Two distinct moving parts |
The drive ring and the blades
are the only parts in motion limiting points of wear. |
Bi-stable configuration |
The bi-stable configuration only requires
power to change state. No power is required to hold the shutter in
the open or close state. |
Designed for integration |
The simple design provides maximum clearance
around the aperture. The device features flat machined surfaces for
integration into virtually any system. |
Coated blades |
Option of reflective coated
blades for applications where high intensity light sources are being
utilized. |
