The Phantom VEO 640 and the Phantom VEO 440 are core members of the Phantom VEO product-line. The Phantom VEO 640 captures images at 6 Gpx/sec for 1,490 fps at its full resolution 2560 x 1600 or 5,700 fps at the very usable reduced resolution of 1280 x 720. The Phantom VEO 440 captures images at 4 Gpx/sec for 1,100 fps at its full resolution of 2560 x 1600 and 2,100 at the reduced resolution of 1920 x 1080.

The Phantom VEO 640, the Phantom VEO 440 and all core members of the the Phantom VEO family are offered with two body configurations - either L (Light) or S (Full-featured). The L style includes everything needed for software-based capture and motion analysis and suits traditional imaging applications, while the extra-featured S models include additional signal availability, on-camera controls, ruggedized connectors and compatibility with removable CFast 2.0 storage media. The S models are appropriate when high-resolution imaging is required.

Both The Phantom VEO 640 and the Phantom VEO 440 are constructed with a milled aluminium body in order to protect the sensor and internal components and to ensure long term reliability.
