A COLLECTION OF SPECIAL
FEATURES MAKE THE ENTRY-LEVEL PHANTOM MIRO eX1 (mono
or colour) CAMERA UNIQUE:
High speed (500 fps to 111,100fps), high resolution, light, compact, battery
powered, touch screen, ruggedised and more
Manufactured with Vision Research's customary technology and innovation,
the Phantom Miro eX1 camera is supplied with a comprehensive variety
of features making the camera both versatile and easy-to-use.
What are the key
characteristics of the Phantom Miro eX1 camera? |
Touch screen |
The built-in, 3-½”
640 x 480 LCD touch screen display allows for easy set-up, perfect
framing of shots, and for receiving immediate feedback |
Easy playback |
Play and rewind can be executed in normal or fast mode or the sequence
can be stepped through, one frame at a time. |
Easy edit |
Trimming the movie is as easy as setting in-points and out-points
prior to saving. |
Blur elimination |
Successful motion analysis is enhanced by operating with shutter
speeds 1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, or 100% of max exposure time (1/Frame
Rate) allowing objects to be frozen in motion |
Flexibility |
Nine selectable frame rates, each with up to 6 selectable exposure
settings giving 54 setting combinations, provide the maximum flexibility
to control exposure and motion blur to achieve a high quality image |
Mobility |
Battery powered; making field use easy and practical. Batteries
are easy-to-install and spares can be carried for in-the-field replacement |
Memory |
The 1GB internal high-performance DRAM memory can be securely off-loaded
to a Type 1 removable CompactFlash™ card. Files can be viewed
and a detailed analysis can be performed using a PC and the advanced
Phantom Software (included). |
Lens mounts |
Any 1” C-mount lens can be used, or the camera can be attached
to microscope or borescope. An F-mount adapter allows the use of standard
35mm lenses. |
Mounting options |
Mounting plates on two sides of the camera provide plenty of options
whether using a tripod, boom, or custom mount using standard ¼-20
mounting holes. |
Light-sensitivity |
Custom-designed CMOS active-pixel sensors have an ISO rating of
4800 (monochrome) and 1200 (colour) ensuring the light-sensitivity
required in high-speed imaging applications. |
Flexible
triggering |
Images are taken according to preset options and the camera stores
them in a circular buffer in internal memory. Should a setting be
changed, the change can be viewed immediately on the built-in LCD
or on an external monitor. The camera can also be set so that a trigger
(from external hardware, an on-camera trigger button or software on
a connected PC) starts the recording, stops the recording, or records
a selectable number of frames before and after the trigger. |
Connections |
Connect to a PC with 10/100 Ethernet for additional camera
programming and control, and to retrieve test images in later analysis
and processing. Connect to a standard analog video monitor (PAL or
NTSC) for real-time monitoring of the camera image or for playback
of images stored in the camera’s memory. |
Phantom software |
Using the Phantom software provided, movies can be saved in popular
formats such as QuickTime or AVI, and frames saved as JPEG or TIFF
images. |
Bundled software |
Applying the bundled TEMA Starter for Phantom software from Image
Systems AB, allows the user to obtain a quantitative analysis as well
as a qualitative view of test results. |
