The Falcon4 family of cameras by Teledyne Dalsa are designed using leading industrial sensors from Teledyne e2v. The Falcon4-CLHS cameras, with a Camera Link HS (CLHS) interface, are designed to excel in imaging applications where high frame rate, large resolution and high bandwidth is required. Using Teledyne Imaging's CMOS architectures, the Falcon4-CLHS cameras offer unique capabilities in applications where high frame rate, large resolution and deterministic data delivery is required. The Cameras in the Falcon4 family range from 2.8 megapixels to 67 megapixels, and offer frame rates up to 1200 frames per second. All cameras offer Partial Scan mode (ROI) for a significant increase to frame rate.

The CLHS interface requires a frame grabber to be fitted to the host computer where it delivers data to host memory with low latency and in a known time using DMA transfer capability built in to the Dalsa frame grabber. Applications that require real-time or in-time analysis benefit greatly by using CLHS and are further benefited by Teledyne Dalsa's T2IR capability which offers more reliable data transfer and diagnostics.
