Delivering fast and reliable code reading performance for part identification and tracking applications, the BOA SPOT ID, with its powerful and flexible vision sensor integrated LED lighting, comes in two models, each with a choice of resolutions. SPOT's flexibility allows you to choose which model best suits your deployment.

Robust and suitable for harsh/wash down factory environments, the SPOT ID offers high-speed decoding of 1D barcodes and 2D matrix codes which can be combined with character reading, pattern matching and error proofing tools to identify, track and verify.

Considering the surprisingly low cost, the SPOT ID vision sensor offers exceptionally high read rates and provides the option to verify additional product markings or features. LED optics and software are pre-delivery integrated into this easy-to-use camera that even those without vision experience are able to master. Installation is uncomplicated with connectors being accessible on the back. Standard M12 cabling is supported to further reduce integration cost.

The SPOT ID is sufficiently versatile to decode multiple bar code types and can tolerate variations in printing methods, marking types and background surfaces. However, should the code prove difficult to read, image filters and control parameters can be used to decipher poorly-printed codes on a variety of surfaces.

Operating the system is made simple and quick to learn, even for beginners, the GUI interface offering a full complement of features for both setup and runtime operation. Integration (both hardware and software) with existing machinery is uncomplicated saving effort, time and expense as the existing system need not be modified. Once easily connected, the camera is ready to go.

Standard and Enhanced versions
The standard models include toolsets for decoding 1D and 2D matrix code as well as matching the code's quality against industry standards. This toolset can be easily converted to the expanded version which offers additional tools for applications that need more than just code reading such as Direct Part Marking decoding, OCR and verification tools. The inclusion of a graphics tool allows operators to assign a text label to a faulty image describing the error discovered.
