New Compact Remote Head CameraJai CM-030PMCL-RH CameraJAI recently introduced the CM-030PMCL-RH industrial CCD camera with small remote head and Power over Camera Link (PoCL) digital interface. With many of the advanced features of the other Jai Compact camera series this camera is designed specifically for space and weight constrained applications that require quality with compact size. The CM-030PMCL-RH is a new addition to the Compact tier of JAI's C3 Camera Suite. The remote head camera is based on the 1/3-inch Sony ICX424 monochrome progressive scan CCD, with 656 x 494 active pixels. The digital video is output via Mini-Camera Link with Power over Camera Link (PoCL) compatibility and 8- or 10-bit pixel depth. With the PoCL interface there is no need for a separate power supply, providing a clean one-cable solution that can more easily fit into tight spaces while saving on cabling costs and avoiding problems caused by multiple cables. The camera a high 120fps frame rate in continuous operation. Higher frame rates can be achieved with the camera’s vertical binning and partial scan modes (up to 504fps). The small size of the camera head (17mm diameter) and its 2 meter remote head cable length make this camera suitable for space constrained or weight critical machine vision applications, such as robotics, surface mounting (PCB pick and place), semiconductor inspection, surface inspection and others. The camera has three trigger modes - pre-select, pulse width control, and pre-select with smear-less in addition to continuous operation. Also included is a unique automatic LVAL sync or async selection function. An electronic shutter offers 10 preset speeds or user-programmable settings from 1/120 to 1/30,000 seconds in increments of 16.24µs. The CM-030PMCL-RH has the same uniform design philosophy shared by all cameras in JAI's C3 Camera Suite, making it easy for system integrators and OEMs installing diverse and complex machine vision solutions to adapt to varying camera demands. Night Vision InfraRed CameraXenICs Xeva-FPA-1.7The Xeva-FPA-1.7 is an industrial Infrared camera manufactured by a leader in InGaAs sensors - Xenics from Belgium. It is available in 320 x 256 pixel or 640 x 512 pixel resolution and is sensitive up to 1.7 micron wavelength of light which makes it suitable for a variety of applications including night vision. The XEVA-FPA-1.7 digital camera combines a thermo-electrically cooled InGaAs detector head and the control and communication electronics in a single compact housing. Available in a variety of versions that vary in resolution, speed and type of output enables systems designers to choose the most suitable configuration for their application. Requiring one single 12V – 5A power supply makes it easy to power and integrate. The XEVA-FPA-1.7 is available with either USB 2.0 or CameraLink and outputs 14-bit data. The high speed version comes with its own custom frame grabber card but can also be easily interfaced to all standard compatible CameraLink frame grabber cards. It is supplied with a graphical user software interface (X-Control) and SDK for direct access to camera settings. X-Control includes two-point uniformity correction and bad pixel replacement tools. All XenICs infrared detectors are characterized by high sensitivity, excellent stability and high uniformity. They offer a high degree of flexibility in terms of frame rate, user interface and temperature range. These cameras combine high speed with high sensitivity at low cost. Key features

The new LFC 420 joins Gardasofts' successful series of Ethernet controllers - LFC 520 and LFC 820. The new 4-channel LFC 420 lighting controller allows your vision system to control the light remotely. Brightness for example can be adjusted programmatically to accommodate different inspection requirements in an online application. With 4 channels the LFC 420 can control RGB lights, adjust their brightness, the colour mix and still leave another channel to control one additional light. New High Resolution AVT Firewire CamerasNew AVT Stingray ModelsAllied Vision Technologies have released two new versions of its successful Stingray camera family: the Stingray F-125 and Stingray F-504. The Stingray F-125 features the new high sensitivity 1.3 megapixel Sony CCD ICX445 sensor. The Stingray F-504 uses the new ICX665 Sony CCD sensor with 5 megapixels and excellent sensitivity and image quality. Both cameras are available in monochrome and colour and as with all Stingray models, they offer two IEEE-1394b ports on the back of the camera for fast data transfer and simple daisy-chaining when used in multi-camera applications. Both cameras offer an external asynchronous trigger shutter and operate in 14-bit mode. The Stingray F-125 offers up to 30 fps at full resolution (1296 x 966). The 5 megapixel F-504 operates at up to 7.5 fps at full resolution (2456 x 2058). Both cameras are suited for use in industrial image processing and factory automation. The extensive built-in image processing options (image pre-processing) result in outstanding image quality, and reduces the system with higher performance overall. The powerful and flexible API helps the Stingray models easily integrate into existing applications.
