MV4-D1280U-H01-GT: UV camera with CMOS Backside Illuminated sensor and Global Shutter

Introducing a CMOS UV camera by Photonfocus – the MV4-D1280U-H01-GT. This uniquely innovative camera is designed around the Photonfocus proprietary deep UV sensor and is the only one of its kind. It was specifically designed to be sensitive from UV to NIR and features sensitivity from 170nm - 820nm.

The sensor is designed as a Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor to provide significant advantages when it comes to improving low light performance and dynamic range. In recognition of this camera's quality, it was awarded the Silver Innovators Award from the Vision Systems Design Magazine.

The sensor's Global Shutter contributes to its ability to freeze motion and provide excellent quality images, ultra sharp resolution without image distortion at high-speed. The sensors pixels are small square pixels (7.4 x 7.4 um) to provide lower magnification requirements and greater depth of field.

Operating at 140fps at full resolution (1280 x 1024 pixels) it can capture fast processes and is suited to demanding UV inspection tasks e.g. glass production, automotive, high-voltage inspection and many other applications.


The MV4-D1280U-H01-GT has a 10GigE interface with Power over Ethernet. This powerful camera fits seamlessly into the Photonfocus modular and configurable camera family. It can be modified for customer-specific applications and embedded solutions.
