The Phantom T3610 to capture moments invisible to the human-eye

The Phantom T3610 combines incredibly high frame rates and an ultra-compact form factor. At its full 1 Mpx resolution of 1280 x 800 the Phantom T3610 captures over 38,000 fps. At 4.3 kilograms, the Phantom T3610 is more than 50% lighter than the closely related Phantom TMX (9.1 kg).

The T3610 maintains its 38Gpx/second throughput regardless of the resolution selected. At low resolutions this translates to higher frame rates; for example with at 1280 x 32 (standard mode) or 640 x 64 (Binned mode) the camera delivers a remarkable 875,000 fps.

The Phantom T3610 is suited to combustion analysis, impact testing, spray dynamics, and shock wave analysis. Any short-time event application will benefit from the fast exposures to reduce motion blur and high light sensitivity that this camera delivers.

The T3610 provides a Binned mode which decreases the vertical and horizontol resolution while further increasing sensitivity and frame rates. Binned mode is included on both mono and colour T3610 cameras, however the output will switch to mono when used on a colour camera.

Backside Illumination Technology
BSI sensor technology maximises sensitivity for sub-microsecond exposure times as often is required in high-velocity testing. It is not a new technology, but has been cleverly adapted by Vision Research to work at ultra-high speeds. Vision Research have created a camera that pushes the boundaries on speed and sensitivity.

Key Features
Designed for high speed applications:
- Binning Mode - frame rate boost at 640 x 384 and below
- Remote, standalone operation is achieved by using the on-camera controls, video monitor and CineMag.
- SDI and HDMI video outputs
- 10Gb Ethernet Option
- Programmable I/O - with DAQ systems and a variety of measurement sensors, which can be recorded and viewed as metadata in Cine files.
- EDR (Extreme Dynamic Range) provides flash mitigation for ballistic studies by dynamically adjusting exposure in saturated areas of the image.

Applications

Impact testing
The Phantom T3610 empowers users with an extremely reliable solution for tasks related to impact and crash testing applications.

Shock wave analysis
Due to the extremely high frame rates that the Phantom T3610 offers, the camera has the ability to capture moments that are unseeable to the human eye. Rapidly evolving phenomena like shockwaves can be effectively captured by the T3610.
Combustion
Combustion applications often have unique difficulties that need to be overcome. Aside from being exceptionally fast events they often have lighting issues as they quickly fluctuate between being very dark and very bright. Phantom cameras have features that aid researchers in dealing with these issues.
