Free update for Halcon 11 software

Now available from Adept: Halcon 11.0.2 update

The new maintenance release 11.0.2 of its machine vision standard software HALCON 11 offers improved features and bug-fixes. The release includes enhancements, documentation updates, and fixes of all currently known bugs. The USB dongle driver is now also available for Linux x64 and Mac OS X.

What's new
Improved data/bar code reading
HALCON 11.0.2 offers improved functionality for identification, i.e., for the reading of data codes and bar codes. The data code reader can now optionally enforce the existence of a quiet zone of detected symbols and for ECC 200 codes, it is up to 200% faster and more robust in certain cases. Additionally the error correction for PDF417 codes has been improved.

The bar code reader now supports the verification of an optional check character without stripping it from the bar code data.

Improved usability
There are now procedures that make it easier to calculate groups of features with given properties for classification as well as with procedures to create 2D plots to visualize data series.

More powerful development environment
One of HALCON’s most important unique features is its integrated development environment, HDevelop.

HDevelop has now been extended with the option to load the recent program file automatically during startup and with the ability to copy the referred local procedures together with the calling program lines between different instances of HDevelop. Also, the HDevelop example programs that show the usage of the data code reader have been revised and reorganized.
