a number of benefits, iDS' 1.3 MP uEye cameras not only match
the performance of competitive models, it
exceeds them.
According to independent tests, the sensor in the uEye cameras is
as much as three times more sensitive than CCD and CMOS sensors
of the same resolution, a fact of which iDS are understandably proud.
And because the e2v has all the typical characteristics of CMOS sensors,
it also offers an additional benefit over CCD competitors
- infrared sensitivity
- which allows the camera to be used for monochrome NIR image capture
as well as for standard visible imaging.
