RE means "rough environment". Like the prior series of uEye cameras, the new GigE models are contained in ultra-compact compact housing especially developed for rugged environments. They carry all features required in outdoor and indoor vision applications giving them the ability to perform reliably in dusty and wet conditions.

Flexibility of GigE interface:
High-speed image acquisition is possible with Gigabit Ethernet interface cables with lengths of up to 100 meters.

Comprehensive range of resolutions:
The GigE uEye RE cameras are available with CCD and CMOS sensors with resolutions ranging from VGA up to 10 Megapixel.
