Compact, Robust 3D System
The
Ensenso N series is specially designed for use in harsh environmental
conditions. Due to its compact design, the N-series is equally suitable
for the space-saving stationary or mobile use on a robot arm for
the 3D detection of moving and static objects. The integrated projector
projects a high-contrast texture onto the object to be imaged, by
means of a pattern mask with a random dot pattern so that few or
very low contrast features can be measured in 3D. All cameras are
pre-calibrated and therefore easy to set up.
Perfect for Industrial Applications
Due to the screwable GPIO connectors for trigger and flash, all
models are also suitable for industrial use. For particularly
high demands on robustness, both Ensenso N3x product line and
the N4x product lines in the Ensenso N 3D camera series are available
with IP65/67 protection class and are thus protected against dirt,
dust, splash water or cleaning agents.
Product Lines tailored to your needs
The Ensenso N camera family is made up of two product lines, the
Ensenso N3x (N30, N31, N35, N36) and the Ensenso N4x (N40, N41,
N45, N46). Each product line has its own unique advantages.

Lightweight and cost-optimized
In the Ensenso N4x product line, iDS have seperated the electronics
behind each of the three components (cameras and projector) and
so have allowed the use of a lightweight plastic composite housing
material, which makes it possible to manufacture the 3D camera family
cost-effectively.
The reduced weight also makes Ensenso N4x models applicable to
collaborative robotic arms, whose driving forces can be limited
due to safety reasons.

For demanding applications
The Aluminium housing of the Ensenso N3x camera models allows
optimum heat dissipation of the electronic components and ensures
a stable light output even under extreme conditions. These factors
compliment the overall high quality and robustness of the 3D data.
A metal design also allows the CMOS sensors to be mounted more
accurately and with vergence angles of 2° to 10° making
it possible to achieve best results for applications with shorter
object distances.
