Ingress protection and temperature resistance upgrade
Industrial camera is exposed to powerful water jets from all sides in spray system. The IDS GigE Vision-compliant uEye FA Rev.1.2 factory automation machine vision cameras are now available with IP69K protection. These cameras were previously rated as IP65/67 and this design improvement makes them suitable to a much broader range of operating environments at no additional cost.
With the new IP69K rating, these cameras are now suited to “severe" cleaning. They can now withstand high-pressure water jets and steam without a bulky external enclosure. Installation and integration can now be streamlined, especially in environments where hygiene and debris removal are non-negotiable.
All new uEye FA Rev.1.2 cameras are now being built with the IP69K rating. Older units already in use cannot be retrofitted or "updated" to reach these new standards.
What IP69K means?
- 10,000 kPa of water pressure (a standard garden hose is only about 300–400 kPa).
- 80°C water temperature, the seals will not fail under thermal shock.
- 16 litres per minute of flow rate directed at the lens tube and connectors from multiple angles.
