PCC 4.1 Software streamlines and enhances the full high-speed imaging workflow
Phantom High-Speed has released PCC 4.1, a re-architectured version of its camera control software. This update focuses on increasing the efficiency of high-speed imaging workflows through several functional changes.
The platform now supports up to 64 cameras within a single interface. To manage the resulting data load, image processing has been moved to the GPU, which allows for higher refresh rates and reduced lag during live view and playback. A project-based workflow has also been implemented, allowing technicians to save and recall specific system configurations to ensure consistency across long-term testing periods.
The interface is built on a modernised Qt-based framework and includes contextual tooltips intended to reduce the time required for operator training. These updates are specifically designed for applications requiring high levels of synchronisation, such as automotive safety analysis, ballistics, DIC and fluid dynamics research. The software also provides a direct data pipeline for integration with MATLAB and Python.
Core features
Camera scalability: The re-architectured platform can now manage up to 64 cameras within a single, unified interface, making it ideal for complex, multi-angle setups.
GPU-accelerated processing: By moving image processing to the GPU, the software achieves significantly higher refresh rates and reduced lag, ensuring smoother live views and playback even under heavy data loads.
Project-based workflow: This new system allows operators to save and recall specific configurations, ensuring consistent settings across long-term testing and reducing manual setup time.
