The Specim SX25 is a pushbroom SWIR hyperspectral camera operating in the 960‑2500 spectral range. The Science of a Hyperspectral Line Scan Camera: Read here! With 640 spatial pixels the SX25 allows small features to be measured and classified. Each pixel in the dataset is imaged with 392 selectable spectral bands at 8 nm spectral resolution and so allows for small spectral features to be reliably detected. Its very high 1500:1 signal-to-noise ratio provides the ability to identify smaller changes in spatial and spectral features. The 162 fps full resolution frame rate allows for faster speeds and for high-throughput applications. These specifications all combine to make the SX25 a very high performance hyperspectral camera that produces excellent data quality yet comes at a very cost-effective price. The SX25 is designed for applications that include the classification of minerals and soils, Recycling, Coatings inspection and plant based applications such as plant and grain phenotyping. With its wide spectral range (960‑2500) and high performance features, this SWIR hyperspectral camera offers a great choice for many applications. The SX25 can be supplied with multiple lens options and an adjustable working distance, allowing users to configure the system for different imaging requirements, from wide-area scanning to macro-scale analysis. Integration is supported through a GigE Vision interface and full compatibility with Specim’s ecosystem, including the Lab Scanner, SisuROCK workstation, SpecimINSIGHT, and LUMO software. Another standout feature of the SX25 and all other new developments from Specim is the built-in Advanced Image Enhancement (AIE) feature, which produces ready-to-use data straight from the camera, cutting down on post-processing and accelerating results. Unified spectral calibration ensures consistent and repeatable results across different camera units, which is advantageous in multi-system and multi-site environments. Other applications for the SX25 food quality inspection, pastoral analysis and plant species identification, pharmaceutical research, cultural heritage conservation and there are many more. The SX25 is offered at an accessible cost but offers the ability and performance to meet the requirements of even the most demanding analytical and industrial tasks.
