Precision LWIR Thermal Imaging
The Teledyne FLIR Boson family of thermal camera modules for OEM’s offers two main lines:
• Boson: The baseline LWIR camera lineup
• Boson+: The enhanced series with advanced radiometric capabilities
The two series are designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and are available in many different options. These include:
• Fixed focal length lenses as wide as 40 horizontal field of view and as narrow as 950 horizontal field of view
• Zoom lens options
• Low NETD options
• Models with radiometric calibration
• Fast frame rate options
• Interface options

Teledyne FLIR’s Boson series are the more economical series and offer compact, low-power LWIR modules featuring a 12 µm uncooled detector in two resolutions: 640 × 512 and 320 × 256.With multiple frame rate and lens configurations, this 29 model lineup includes version with or without radiometriccalibration forabsolute temperature measurements. The Boson series is flexible and designed for modular integration with several different interface options.
The Boson+ series sets a new standard in SWaP-optimized LWIR imaging and offers a higher performance. As with Boson the Boson+ series are competitively priced, flexible for modular design, small and come with different interfaces, including for easy integration to embedded platforms.
The Boson+ features 41 models with advanced capabilities:
• Thermal sensitivity: ≤ 20 mK (industrial-grade)
• Improved image contrast and sharpness with upgraded Automatic Gain Control and Digital Detail Enhancement+ processing
• Very low latency (< 6 ms), ideal for real-time tracking and decision-making
• Either 640 × 512 or 320 × 256 pixel options with multiple lens configurations
• Lens configuration options include fixed focal length and zoom lens options.
• Options for easy integration to embedded platforms
• Models are available with or without radiometric calibration.
• NDAA-compliant and free from ITAR Compliance
Applications
These cameras excel in cost-effective, space-constrained applications that require a good quality thermal camera and the ability to be integrated into a system:
• Unmanned Ground and Aerial Vehicles
• Industrial Inspection and Predictive Maintenance
• Manufacturing
• Security and Surveillance
• Automotive
• Firefighting
• Edge Computing and many more.
