Introducing the Phantom KT high-speed camera series from Vision Research — a high-performance high-speed camera family designed to deliver exceptional detail and accuracy.
The Phantom KT-series is a compact yet powerful imaging tool applicable to many applications in academia and numerous other industries. The KT cameras feature high frame rates, high sensitivity for low-light performance, nanosecond exposure times and premium features for precise, efficient data capture in academic, industrial and film-making applications.
There are four models in the Phantom KT-series:
• KT1640: 2560 x 1664 pixels and 3,760 frames per second at full resolution
• KT1240: 2560 x 1664 and 2,920 frames per second at full resolution
• KT1610: 1280 x 832 pixels and 15,640 frames per second at full resolution
• KT1210: 1280 x 832 pixels and 12,090 frames per second at full resolution

All KT-Series models feature an advanced Backside-Illuminated (BSI) sensor which achieves a QExFF (Quantum Efficiency x Fill Factor) of between 84-88% (mono) and an Absolute Sensitivity Threshold (AST) of 24 e- as measured with EMVA1288. The KT-series ensures superior image quality even in low-light environments.
The 1-Mpx KT cameras (KT-1610 and KT-1210) offer a 190-nanosecond export-controlled Fast-option to further minimize motion blur for very fast moving objects (e.g. ballistics) and precise high-velocity measurements. The 4.2-Mpx KT cameras (KT-1640 and KT-1240) leverage high resolution for improved edge rendition and wider tracking capability in motion analysis applications.

• Ballistics and Range: Analyse projectiles, impact dynamics, and shockwave behaviour for defence research.
