JAI introduces Advanced 2K and 16K Line scan Cameras

JAI have introduced several new 2K (SW-2005) and 16K (SW-16000) trilinear and monochrome Line scan cameras designed to deliver high-resolution and high-speed, and are suited to wide variety of applications. Whether it’s print inspection, food sorting, electronics manufacturing or other application, these new Jai cameras provide the accuracy and efficiency needed for fast-paced automated production environments.

2K compact trilinear and monochrome Line scan cameras SW-2005
|
JAI's 2K Line scan cameras include four new models: two trilinear RGB versions and two single line monochrome models. They offer high data throughput with either 5GigE Vision (5GBASE-T) or CoaXPress 2.0 interface.

Key Features of the 2k Cameras:

Resolution and speed:
• Trilinear models: SW-2005TL-5GE-trilinear (5GigE) and SW-2005TL-CXP-trilinear (CoaXPress 2.0) cameras offer 3 x 2048 pixels (RGB) with a maximum scan rate of 44 kHz.
• Monochrome models: SW-2005M-5GE-monochrome (5GigE) and SW-2005M-CXP (CoaXPress 2.0) offer 2048 pixels at an impressive scan rate of 172 kHz.
Compact Design:
• The 5GigE models measure 44 x 44 x 64mm while the CoaXPress models are slightly smaller at 44 x 44 x 54mm, making them perfect for applications where space is constrained.
Interface options:
• The CoaXPress 2.0 interface offers high-bandwidth with very low latency data transfer for applications that require a deterministic result for near real time process. CoaXPress 2.0 requires a frame grabber fitted to the computers.
• 5GigE Vision does not require a frame grabber and so system costs are lower, while providing high- bandwidth but with a little more and variable data latency.
Advanced Imaging capabilities:
• Features such as Resume Scanning, Trigger Delay based on Trigger Count and Trigger Controlled Exposure Time enhance operational efficiency in dynamic production environments. Additional capabilities include selectable output formats, Look Up Tables (LUT) and Tilted View Correction

New generation of 16k colour Trilinear and Monochrome Line scan cameras SW-16000
|
With 16K resolution and 5μm square pixels, JAI’s new Line scan models deliver up to 50 Gbps data transfer speeds via CoaXPress CXP-12. The colour model offers scan rates of 100 kHz, while the monochrome model reaches 277 kHz. These cameras are ideal for manufacturing processes that require detailed vision inspection of small features at very high speeds.

Key Features of the 16K Cameras
|
High Resolution and Speed:
• The SW-16000TL-CXP4A offers 3 x 16384 pixels (RGB) at a scan rate of 100 kHz, while the SW-16000M-CXP4A achieves the same resolution with a single monochrome line at 277 kHz.
Large Pixels for Enhanced Sensitivity:
• Featuring 5μm pixels, these cameras provide improved light sensitivity, resulting in better image quality and dynamic range, which is crucial for high-speed inspections.
Fast Data Throughput:
• Equipped with a CoaXPress 2.0 interface, these cameras support data throughput up to 12.5 Gbps per line, facilitating efficient processing of high-resolution images.
Advanced Imaging Features:
• Similar to the 2K models, the 16K cameras include features for Resume Scanning and Intelligent Sub-Pixel Spatial Compensation, ensuring high-quality image capture and accuracy.
