SIM Ultra-fast Framing Cameras: the benefits
Synchronising the camera with the event to be captured and analysed can be difficult when imaging in ultra-high speed. Overcoming this obstacle by providing a very flexible multiple triggering capability, the SIM series can actuallly capture frames prior to the trigger and so enabling more data to be captured.

The SIM's optical design provides 16 images (SIMX) or 32 images from the Double-pulse SIMD and all images achieved without affecting either shading or parallax.

Capturing difficult phenomena is made easier with the help of sophisticated electronics managing high-resolution, intensified CCD sensors that enable close user control over gain and exposure settings.

Full remote control using Ethernet is offered as standard where either the integral viewfinder or a laptop computer can be used for local focus.

Comprehensive triggering facilities, highly accurate timing control, and a wide range of output signals, coupled with a custom software package that includes full measurement and image enhancement functions simplifies image capture.

All SIM cameras can be configured to give up to 16 different multi-spectral images with an R. G and B filter on each channel. In this configuration it is possible to take 10 colour images and 2 monochrome.
