Why a smart camera?
Smart Cameras are often the perfect solution for cost-efficient
production at optimal quality. Space-saving due to their ability
to work without a PC, their compact and robust housing contain all
necessary components for processing inspection tasks in real time.
What is a Nano Tube smart camera?

Responding to consumer demand, Vision Components developed the VC
Nano Tube - a smart camera with integrated lighting all
encased within a round, IP rated housing. The IP65
enclosure houses the remote camera head and a 12mm S-mount lens
as well as eight high-power LEDs and the smart camera processor
with its other electronic components.
Ideally suited for applications with limited installation
space, the Nano Tube comes into its own in demanding environments
where dust, dirt or water/humidity occur. Available in either stainless
steel or aluminium casings, the protective housing can be quickly
and easily installed thanks to an M30 thread.
The VC Nano Tube provides 32 MB flash and 128 MB DDRAM memory and
executes all image processing routines, without an additional cost
of a PC, via a 700MHz processor. An Ethernet interface and an optional
RS232 interface enable integration into automation environments.
The VC Nano Tube is equipped with a global shutter CMOS sensor that
provides crystal-clear images even in extremely
fast applications. |
