Expanded built-in tools with new support for advanced functions

About Gocator 2000 and 2300 series
Gocator is a family of all-in-one 3D smart sensors designed to be easy to use yet very powerful and pre-calibrated to scan and measure within minutes making Gocator accessible to all levels of expertise. From factory floor production staff to technicians and engineers, the Gocator embedded web browser interface enables setup to measurement in minutes.

Sensors are easily configured using an intuitive and responsive interface enabling the user to measure almost immediately, features like width, thickness, and angle in 3D and much more.

Gocator’s suite of built-in measurement tools makes it easy to inspect materials, improve quality control, and introduce 3D factory automation solutions at low cost.

What's new
EtherNet/IP Gocators are now certified to communicate with a wide range of PLCs, including Allan-Bradley and Omron, via the industry standard EtherNet/IP protocol. Making it even easier, no software programming is required.

Gap and Flush measurement tool The Gap and Flush tools measure the distance between two sharp or curved edged panels as well as how flush two surfaces are relative to each other. With this new toolset you can easily measure, set tolerances, and make inspection decisions without costly external inspection units. For applications like automotive production, inspecting the fit and finish of assembled panels has never been easier.

Groove measurement tool In many applications, like the production of tires, plastic container lids, or tongue and groove materials, for example, grooves are essential to the product's performance. The Groove measurement tool measures the width and bottom of V and U shape grooves and gives users the ability to accurately set pass / fail conditions and inspection decisions based on these measurements. Using the Groove Measurement tool users can ensure their grooved product's performance.

Rotated measurement tool The Rotated Box tool makes it possible to accurately measure an object in whole part mode even if it's not perpendicular to the laser line during scanning. Users can measure an object's true width and height by accounting for its angle of rotation. In applications like packaging inspection for example, you'll be able to spend more time making final measurements without worrying if things are coming down the line "straight".

Persistent variables in script measurement tools An extension of the script measurement tool, users can carry intermediate results from 1 frame to another to calculate statistics (e.g. averages) or accumulate results. For applications like bread cutting or web scanning, these tools make it easy for users to calculate accumulated measurements (e.g. volume) from each scanned cross section.

Occlusion prevention with two sensors Users can now "see" every angle of intricate surfaces without fear of occlusions. In a dual sensor system, occlusion is eliminated by merging data from the main sensor and buddy sensor to extract data from the best view of the target's surface in the X & Y directions. By being able to "see" every aspect of the target, production decisions can be made more precisely.
