Improved sensitivity in near-infrared wavelengths
Designed to target solar cell inspection applications where sensitivity
in the near-infrared region is critical, this newcomer to the TDI HS line
scan family of cameras provides cost-effective, high- performance for low
light imaging with 8K resolution and unmatched throughput.
The Piranha HS 8K, 34kHz model delivers line rates up to 34 kHz and a throughput
up to 320 MPixels per sec. Camera configuration is extremely flexible where
the number of Camera Link taps, throughput, and line rate are all software
controlled.
These cameras are capable of bidirectionality with up to 256 stages of
Time Domain Integration (TDI). They prevent overexposure with proven 100x
antiblooming. This High Sensitivity NIR camera extends Teledyne DALSA’s
industry leading high sensitivity product line and provides solutions
for imaging in the near-infrared wavelengths from 700 nm to 1050 nm.
Typical
applications include |
|
|
|
• Solar cell inspection |
• PCB / Electronics
inspection |
• Large web applications |
• Food and drug
inspection |
Benefits to your
application
|
Can displace expensive
InGaAs cameras with a silicon based camera
|
• Line Rate
– 34kHz |
The fast line rate can
be utilized because the responsivity is very high. A regular linescan
camera would have to be run more slowly in order to have a long enough
exposure time. |
• High resolution |
Can displace multiple InGaAs cameras with
one Piranha HS NIR camera |
• Antiblooming |
Excellent antiblooming
– maintains image quality when parts of the image are overexposed |
|
• Bi-directional |
Enables serpentine inspection which reduces
system costs |
• Flat-field correction |
Excellent image quality
– corrects for any sensor relative issues with respect to fixed
pattern noise and pixel response non-uniformity |
• Area mode of operation |
Camera can be quickly aligned to the web
by focusing on the web and using the camera in area mode operation
(no need for the web to be moving to focus the camera properly) |
