This means that you have access to a broad range of cameras, ranging from VGA to up to 16 million pixels resolution from the same manufacturer, using the same interfacing and control methods. The Jai 1600CL is a high performance camera designed to handle the most demanding applications and fits into the C3 advanced tier. The Advanced tier cameras combine the finest analog and digital circuit designs to result in the ultimate cameras with superb performance, broad range of pre-processing, 2CCD / 3CCD support and a standard housing cross section of 55mm x 55mm. In addition to the outstanding 4872 x 3248 pixel sensor the Jai 1600CL features large 7.4 µm square pixels for a high sensitivity in low-light or high-speed applications. It also features a high >56 dB signal-to-noise ratio and so produces remarkably clear and clean images. A user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI), provided as part of the camera's extensive Software Development Kit (SDK), allows users to control all camera functions easily. Changes to the acquisition mode of the camera automatically update the API for easy image acquisition. Since camera parameters can be uploaded from a PC, settings can be changed with a delay latency of only a few frames. The Jai 1600CL is suitable to many application markets. It is used by manufacturers for automated optical inspection such as LCD inspection where image quality and small size are important. It is used in 3D-system applications for Metrology.
