Why
plasma?
Plasma combines the daylight balance and high output of HMIs with
the energy efficiency, reliability and durability of LEDs, but
exceeds both in colour rendering and spectrum. Plasma emitters
use a single point-source bulb, with no electrodes or filaments.
Instead, the quartz bulb is filled with a blend of noble gases
and metal salts to make an inert gas. When this gas is excited
it shifts its state of matter from gas to plasma, which results
in an incredibly powerful light source. All Hive plasma lights
save energy without compromising light output or colour quality.
WASP 250
Using a proprietary reflector that works more efficiently that
a traditional Par, Hive’s Wasp 250 Plasma Par like all Hive
products, is flicker-free. With the single, unique plasma bulb,
the Wasp is a Par, a Leko Spot, a Maxi, fits 4-point and 8-point
soft boxes, photo umbrellas, traditional glass lenses and Hive’s
unique HDP lenses.
Like all Hive Lighting products, the Wasp 250 is completely flicker
free up to 225 million frames-per-second.
Adjustable colour temperature between 4,600K and 6,500K CCT (plus
moonlight VFX), easily powered with 90-300VAC or 18-38VDC. Flicker
free, 30,000 hour bulb life, vibration and impact resistant, and
capable of producing output equivalent of 575 Watt HMI or up to
a 4K HMI when combined into a 6 -light frame.
The Wasp 250 weighs only 5 kg, and uses standard 13.5”
accessories. Simply and robustly made, the WASP uses 50% - 90%
less energy than conventional lighting and are suitable for both
indoor and outdoor productions. |
