The Spyder3 SG-1x-01K40 is a very fast line scan camera that delivers
more sensitivity and more throughput than its predecessor the Spyder2.
With a resolution of 1024 pixels and a pixel size of 14µm x 14µm
this camera is capable of a maximum line rate of 36 kHz and operates at
a data rate of 40 MHz.
The Spyder3 is more than 3 times more sensitive than the Spyder2, but its single output, 14µm pixel size and 100% fill factor remain unchanged. This high sensitivity is achieved with Dalsa's latest dual line scan sensor technology. The GigE interface allows for cable lengths of up to 100m and multicasting to multiple PCs for parallel processing operations. Additionally images can be transferred directly to host PC memory without a frame grabber, which can significantly reduce system costs. Gain and offset are fully programmable for each output channel of the camera. A series of output test patterns are available for simplifying cable/system troubleshooting. The camera provides quiet, uniform output thanks to CDS (correlated double sampling) and embedded flat-field correction algorithms built-in to the camera.
With a full feature set and GigE architecture, the SG-1x-01K40 is ideally suited for use with PC, Notebook and Embedded Systems or where long cable lengths are required for factory automation. Typical applications include FPD inspection, postal sorting, wood/tile/steel inspection, 100% print inspection, food inspection, web inspection, container inspection and many more.
