Low-cost higher speed alternative to GigE data transfer

USB3 Vision is a fast and robust interface capable of transferring high bandwidth image and video data but has been hampered in some applications by the relatively short maximum cable lengths. GigE vision boasts 100m maximum cable lengths but is unable to transfer the high bandwidths capable with USB3 Vision. Problem solved!

iDS Imaging have launched their affordable USB 3.0 cables that can transfer data between camera and PC over a distance of 50 metres while maintaining reliable communications and complete image integrity.

For use with USB 3.0 cameras and also compatible with USB 2.0 models, this optical fibre cable** is made with screw-on metal housings for plug-in connectors to safe-guard against accidental removal.

Where regular cables are not made to withstand the extended movements of some industrial vision applications, the USB 3.0 50m cable is highly flexible (with a bending radius of 20 mm) and manufactured to tolerate repeated action without showing undue wearing.
