Machine Vision Technology News
Hello [firstname, fallback=customer]

Welcome to the June, 2014 edition of Vision Technology News presented by Adept Turnkey - Smarter Imaging For Better Lives.

Director's View

We've come to the end of another financial year and machine vision has continued to advance with new technologies, new products and some new standards being released in the past 12 months.

Adept Turnkey has continued to expand its business and its product lines. We welcome Brian Ooi who is the latest addition to our technical team. Brian has recently competed his pHD in Electronic Digital Signal Processing Engineering from RMIT. Brian is based in our Melbourne office and we look forward to his helping us increase the value we offer to our customers with smart and innovative technical support.

The three main world governing organisations for machine vision, Automated Imaging Association (USA). European Machine Vision Association and the Japanese Imaging Association are working more closely together to create a unified world set of standards. We have already seen Gige Vision, GenICam, HSLink, Coaxpress and the recently released USB3 Vision 1.0. The USB3 interface for machine vision has gained a foothold and its reliability is improving as software, chipset, cable and accessory manufacturers stabilise their designs. Our camera manufacturers are releasing new USB3 cameras regularly.

10GigE is another interface which as yet has not seen adoption in the machine vision market, however Adept Turnkey is pleased to announce the availability of first 10GigE cameras in the Aust/NZ markets.

We have seen new products for automated inspection in the Factory Automation market. Teledyne Dalsa has released a number of new BOA smart cameras and the new GEVA vision appliance with in-built touch display. 3D cameras are gettig smarter and more innovative. LMI Technoogy have released their new 3D snapshot sensor.

We look forward to another 12 months of rapid innovation and to working with you to give you the edge in your market.
