Optronis CamRecord Series

The CamRecord fast camera series from Optronis offers the possibility to capture the movement of a fast event and freeze it to a single image. With the CamRecord series Optronis offers four different high speed cameras for a wide range of applications. These cameras can be used for high speed production machinery diagnostics, animation, sport, biomechanics, crash testing and many others that require high speed events to be slowed down. Optronis offer excellent solutions wherever it is necessary to have a high spatial and temporal resolution as well as a high sensitivity.

The most important feature of this series is the high frame rate at which these cameras operate. At full resolution, the four CamRecord models have maximum frame rates of 500fps (CamRecord 600), 1000fps (CamRecord 450 & 1000) and 5000fps (CamRecord 5000).

Light weight and small in size the CamRecord fast cameras are ideal for mobile applications such as fault diagnosis on production lines or animal behaviour analysis. They record internally and then allow for transfer of the high speed recording to a desktop or laptop via a fast Gigabit Ethernet connection. Two FireWire models are also available for data transfer. They are also equipped with a large internal memory (max. 8 GB) for maximum record times at full speed and full resolution.

Another important feature is the fan-less design which ensures reliable robust use in even the harshest environments such as when used for mine blasting analysis. The fan-less design also allows for use in clean rooms as well as most other environments.

All of the cameras in the CamRecord fast camera series are supported by the CamControl software. The CamControl software allows setup of all camera parameters, shows camera images in a video-live mode and acquires image sequences. Images that are captured can be displayed before and during the acquisition. Final adjustments to optics and lighting can be done even during long lasting acquisition time-intervals. CamControl software offers high flexibility in the storage, visualization and handling of different image and video formats.
