Small, lightweight but rugged, the Phantom Miro LC320S high-speed
camera is rich with advanced features previously only available in more-costly
cameras. Easy to learn and to use, the camera includes HD-SDI for advanced
monitoring and workflow possibilities.
The 2-megapixel camera with 3.2 Gigapixels/second (Gpx/s) throughput produces
1380 fps at 1920 x 1200, or over 1500 fps at 1920 x 1080 and uses microlenses
on its custom-designed CMOS sensor with 10 µm pixel pitch to achieve
great light sensitivity. The combination of all its features, together
with 12-bit pixel depth, produce excellent image quality.
The Miro LC-series supports four lens mounts: F-, C-, PL- or EOS. EOS
mounts and allows the use of Canon EF and EF-S automated lenses. Adjust
lens aperture and focus either on-camera, or remotely using our Remote
Control Unit or Phantom Camera Control software.
Workflow and storage
• Record directly to up to 12 GB of internal memory and preview
immediately by playing back over HD-SDI or Gb Ethernet.
• Save the shot by editing and transfering to the Phantom CineFlash
drive OR
• Record the HD-SDI playback to a separate device
• Re-arm the camera ready for the next shot
About
CineFlash
Each Miro LC-Series camera is compatible with Vision Research’s unique
CineFlash storage technology.
These removable, non-volatile storage devices slide into the camera body
and provide a way to save raw cine files quickly from the camera's memory
without the need for time-consuming and costly downloads. The CineFlash
module can be removed, later, from the camera and inserted into the docking
station connected to a computer making the cines stored on the CineFlash
immediately available on the computer. The cines can also be transferred
from the camera to a computer and the images can be edited using the Phantom
Camera Control software (PCC). A 60GB CineFlash and dock are standard
with every camera purchase while the 120 and 240GB are optional.
Applications |
The Miro LC320S has application in two
areas of industry:
Science/Engineering applications
Scientists and engineers can take advantage of the 3.2 Gpx/s throughput,
precise timing, camera synchronization, flexible triggering, excellent
light sensitivity, and many other advanced features to see what
the human eye can't see. Applications ranging from animal studies
to PIV to product characterization are now possible using this accessible
camera.
Entertainment/production applications
Cinematographers and media artists now have access to a camera based
on the Academy Award winning technology of the Phantom
Flex for TV and new media applications.
