The XMID-640 camera is an affordable, mid-infrared imaging camera that
is perfect for stand-alone thermal imaging applications where performance
is critical.
This mid-wave infrared camera uses advanced real-time signal processing
and is equipped with a state-of-the-art 2D InSb array with 640 x 512 pixel
resolution. The Xmid-640 camera can offer 14-bit images at various frame
rates and is available in two versions: 25Hz and 90Hz at full frame resolution.
All camera functions can be customized and settings are stored in non-volatile
memory to enable optimized use. The
new broadband Xmid-640 series, with standard 3um to 5um and extended wavelength
coverage from 1um to 5um, is optimised for highly stable and PC-driven
thermal imaging applications. It is especially advantageous for R&D
situations demanding reliable imaging performance below 3 μm. Camera
control is done via USB 2.0 and image acquisition through USB 2.0 or CameraLink.
The XMid-640 has the advantage of Extended coverage from MWIR into the
SWIR range, highly sensitive imaging performance and high flexibility
in use. It also has Window of interest for increased frame rate to 900fps
and reduced overhead for high speed process monitoring. Tracking moving
objects becomes feasible.
Each camera is delivered with a graphical user interface X-Control Advanced
software, which offers direct access to camera settings. Also offered
is an SDK for developers that supports C++, VB, Linux and LabView.
Key features include:
Extended coverage for the midwave range (MWIR) with a total wavelength
range of 1 to 5 µm; supports all-weather and night vision applications;
high sensitivity Stirling-cooled InSb detector; 100 images per second
over standard USB 2.0 connection; Radiometric calibrations are available
to measure temperatures of objects with utmost accuracy; Interface with
Thermography Studio, most popular recording and analysis tool for dynamic
events.
Applications for the XMID-640 camera include:
R&D (MWIR range)
Thermography
Non-destructive testing
Industrial process monitoring
Security and surveillance
Search and rescue
Industrial process monitoring
Night-time vision enhancement
Infrared signature detection
